Program

Day 1: Welcome to Bulgaria – Sofia → Plovdiv

Arrival at Sofia Airport, where you will be greeted by a representative of the agency. Transfer to Plovdiv – a city with ancient history and a vibrant modern spirit. Accommodation and time to rest. Optional evening cocktail in the artistic Kapana district.

Day 2: Plovdiv and Bachkovo Monastery → Devin

Morning tour of Old Plovdiv – the Ancient Theatre, cobblestone streets, and revival-era houses. At noon, departure to Bachkovo Monastery – one of Bulgaria’s oldest and most significant spiritual landmarks. Continue to Devin, where the evening ends with a traditional Rhodope dinner, live music, and folk dancing.

Day 3: Natural Treasures of the Rhodopes

A full day in the mountains – visit the Devil’s Throat Cave, admire the stalactites in Yagodina Cave, and climb up to the Eagle’s Eye viewpoint for a breathtaking panorama. Explore Shiroka Laka, a museum-village known for its architecture and traditions. Overnight stay by Dospat Lake.

Day 4: Serenity and Adventure at Dospat Lake

A free day to relax or enjoy activities: jet ski, boat rides, water sports, ATV, or open-air yoga. Optional: a unique barbecue on a boat. The day ends with a lakeside dinner by a campfire – under the silence of the mountains.

Day 5: From the Mountains to the Spa – Dospat → Sandanski

After breakfast, departure to Sandanski, famous for its mild climate, mineral springs, and tranquility. Accommodation and free time for spa treatments or a walk in the park and town center.

Day 6: Melnik – Wine, History, and Sand Pyramids

Discover Melnik – Bulgaria’s smallest town, hidden among unique rock formations. Visit a local winery to taste the famous Melnik wine and learn about its history. In the afternoon, return to Sandanski for relaxation.

Day 7: Rila Monastery and the Spirit of Sofia

On the way to the capital, stop at the Rila Monastery – Bulgaria’s most significant Orthodox monument and a UNESCO World Heritage site. In the afternoon, arrival in Sofia for a panoramic city tour, including highlights such as Alexander Nevsky Cathedral, St. George Rotunda, and Vitosha Boulevard. Final evening and overnight in the city.

Day 8: Farewell

After breakfast, transfer to Sofia Airport. The journey ends, but the Rhodopes remain – in your heart, your memories, and the feeling of touching something truly authentic.
